Machupicchu – Cusco 4 Days/3 Nights

After breakfast and between 08.30 and 08.45 am, we pick you up from the hotel to begin the guided excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, visit to the indigenous fair of Pisaq, which takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, in which The inhabitants carry out commercial exchanges as their ancestors did in memorial times.

We continue with buffet lunch at a local restaurant.

Then we headed to the town and fortress of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions by the inhabitants of the jungle. We will have the opportunity to walk through the streets of the town and thus have a clear idea of what this military, religious and cultural center was like during the Inca Empire. We will return to Cusco via Chincheros where the remains of the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui are located. You will admire its well-preserved Inca Wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple with interesting frescoes in the portico, built on the bases of an Inca building.

Return to the hotel in Cusco

At approximately 6:00 am, we transfer you to the Poroy train station, to take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will arrive at approximately 11:00 am.

In the town of Aguas Calientes, our staff will be waiting to accommodate you on the buses that will take you along a zigzagging path for 30 minutes until you reach the incredible wonder of the World “The Sanctuary of Machupicchu”, known as “The Lost City”. Of the Incas».

At the Sanctuary of Machupicchu, we will begin our guided excursion, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sundial, the royal rooms, the temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. The tour lasts approximately two hours.

Later you will have free time to explore the city on your own and around 2:00 p.m., we will be taking the bus back to Aguas Calientes where you can have lunch.

In the afternoon, return by train to Cusco, where we will be waiting for you at the Poroy station to transfer you to your hotel in the city of Cusco.
