The experience of touring Maras and Moray on an ATV is one of the most exciting and adrenaline-filled adventures in the Sacred Valley. Here’s what you can expect:

The terrain varies from dirt roads to gentle slopes and some rocky routes, adding a touch of challenge to the adventure.

Itinerary

Pickup in Cusco (7:00 - 8:00 a.m. or 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.)

o You will be picked up at your hotel and transported to the base of operations in Cruzpata (approximately a 50-minute drive).

Briefing and Practice (8:50 a.m. / 2:00 p.m.)

o You will receive a brief explanation on the use of the ATVs and safety precautions.

o You will practice riding before starting the tour.

Route to Moray (9:30 a.m. / 2:30 p.m.)

o You will begin the ATV tour through stunning Andean landscapes.

o You will arrive at the Moray archaeological complex, an Inca site with circular terraces used for agricultural experiments.

Visit to the Maras Salt Mines (10:30 a.m. / 3:30 p.m.)

o Continue the adventure to the Maras Salt Mines, a group of salt pools exploited since Inca times.

o You have time to take photos and explore the site.

Return to base and transfer to Cusco (12:30 p.m. / 5:30 p.m.)

o Return by ATV to the base in Cruzpata.

o Return transportation to Cusco, arriving at approximately 1:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.

We begin with pickup at the scheduled time and place, to board our vehicle heading to our base of operations located in the «Cruz pata» sector, where the ATVs will be assigned to you. From this point, we will begin our ATV tour towards the experimental terraces of Moray, and then head towards the viewpoint of the 5 snow-capped mountains.

We’ll continue the tour by motorbike to the town of Maras, where we’ll be able to admire the fantastic salt mines. At the end, we’ll return by car to Cusco.
